2025 Updates

Hello farm friends!

The last few weeks have admittedly been a little bit chaotic, not only due to the winter weather but also due to the current events in our country.

We had made the decision a couple of months ago to drastically scale back our poultry goals for 2025, in order to focus more on giving back to the food insecurity programs we support, while also focusing on other farm projects. (We have a BIG farm surprise coming in the next two months!!)

Initially we had just decided to push back spring hatch dates by a month. However, with everything going on this year, and our goals to be more community oriented than farming for profit—I will be putting all hatch dates on hold indefinitely.

Rest assured, we will still be hatching this year but available birds will be very limited. Those on our waitlist will be contacted first and then we will share them on our social media pages as birds become become available. We will not be fulfilling any chick pre-orders at this time.

With this said, hatching eggs will still be available for assorted varieties of Coturnix quail starting next month. We will also continue to offer hatching eggs this year for our Bantam Cochins, Ridgeliner Hybrids, and Brahma chickens as well as adding our Khaki Campbell and Khaki x Buff cross duck eggs to the list.

We also will continue to offer our weekly eating egg schedules to existing customers, including a limited menu from our cottage bakery. If you want back on our schedule due to grocery store prices—please fill out the request form here. At this time, we will not be increasing egg prices, however they will only be available on a limited basis.

This year, we will also be offering a limited number of heirloom plant starts from our indoor greenhouse for customers looking to start their own gardens. We hope to grow enough produce this year to establish a CSA service for our regular customers that will include weekly grower’s choice produce, eggs, a loaf of bread and a fresh cut bouquet.
