*Deep breath*

What a year! We have officially wrapped up the 2024 gardening season. After the last year being such a bust, and this year being more successful than we could have imagined, I have mixed emotions about this season being over.
It was bittersweet to clear out the garden this past weekend and prep it for Spring. My heart is full and I am so thankful for all we were able to grow. I learned so much about companion planting, gardening through a drought and high temps, what works and what doesn’t. It was like going back to school, just with nature being my teacher!
I have to admit, I was a bit relieved that the garden was cleared out and my days of working 12-16 hour days were over (for now). Until I realized that I won’t be spending any mornings harvesting produce or cutting flowers for a few more months *cue seasonal depression*.

But, in just a month or two we’ll be starting seeds all over again for our 2025 garden. And in the meantime I am planting all the fall bulbs I impulse ordered last Spring and forgot were coming. That will keep me plenty busy!
I am looking forward to this down time around the farm to work on projects we’ve been putting off and resuming hobbies we don’t have time for in the warmer months. Now is a time for rest and recovery.
We have lots planned for our garden next year, and I am even more excited to keep growing and learning after this year. Stay tuned! And in the meantime, enjoy this gallery of our garden over the 2024 season.
