Our lovely piggy princesses are one year old! We celebrated their special day by showering them in treats, and lots of belly rubs of course. Their gotcha day is still over a month away, but we figured they deserved a big day of celebration for their birthday.

One way we celebrated was by making them a pig friendly birthday cake. Since some of our readers are fellow pig parents, we thought we’d share the recipe with you all too!

Piggy Birthday Cupcakes Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Banana
1/4 cup Peanut Butter
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil or Olive Oil
1/4 cup Apple Sauce
1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Egg
Frosting (optional):
1/4 cup Yogurt
1/4 cup Peanut Butter
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350º.
- Line cupcake pan with paper baking cups or use a silicone muffin tin.
- Mix together your dry ingredients, then your moist ingredients in a large bowl.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 350º.
Optional:
- Mix frosting ingredients and let chill in the fridge for 10 minutes while the cupcakes cool before frosting the cupcakes.

For our girls, we decided on making them mini cupcakes and a mini bundt cake. And of course we had to decorate them with some of their favorite snacks – Cheerios and raspberries! The bundt cake was stuffed with shredded carrots mixed with the leftover frosting. Honestly, I would have probably eaten these myself they smelled so good.
If you bake these for your pet piggies, please let us know how they like them!
