Hello followers of The Ridge! It’s been an exciting early Spring here on the Ridge, and I have some exciting news to share with you all.
We’ve officially welcomed our first farm animals to The Ridge – Petunia and Rose, our two Kune Kune cross piglets!

To be honest, I never imagined having pet pigs! Growing up they were always more of a nuisance than anything. Always getting out, getting into things and bothering the other animals.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – “Wait, you didn’t like pigs, but you got pigs?” Well, we did.
We started this journey with the idea of growing our own food and creating a sustainable lifestyle, but as we were clearing the land and starting to prep in the garden, we realized we could use a little help.

Enter Petunia and Rose. These little piglets are not only cute as can be, but they’re also incredibly useful on the farm.
They love to root and dig, which is perfect for helping us clear the land and prepare the garden beds. And once they’ve helped us out, they’ll also help create compost for the garden by eating up any food scraps and yard waste.

But despite their usefulness, Petunia and Rose are not just workers on the farm. They have personalities all their own, and they quickly became a favorite of ours.
Petunia is the bold one, always taking the lead and exploring new things. Rose is a little more timid, but she follows Petunia everywhere and is always up for some belly rubs.
So there you have it, folks. The Adventuruss clan just got a little bit bigger, and a whole lot cuter, with the arrival of Petunia and Rose.
We’re excited to see what adventures these little piglets will bring to our micro farm, and we can’t wait to share them with you all.
Until next time, happy farming!
